After completing postgraduate studies in Environmental Engineering, Brenna became conscious of the link between our health and the condition of our environment. To understand how we can embody environmental stewardship by taking ownership of our personal well being, she completed a Diploma of Acupuncture from the Institute of Traditional Medicine (ITM) in Toronto.

Brenna has completed courses in Acupuncture Detoxification with the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA), Mei Zen^TM Cosmetic Acupuncture with Martha Lucas and Acupuncture Physical Medicine with Noel Wright.  She has studied with prominent authors and practitioners including Kiiko Matsumoto, Debra Betts, Lori Dechar, Margi Flint and Eliot Cowan. She has also completed Labour Doula training with the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA) and is in the process of certification. 

She is currently completing her thesis for the Traditional Herbal Medicine Program at ITM. Her research is focused on investigating how the lifestyle and dietary choices of pre-menopausal women influence their menopausal experience and the role herbal medicine can have in facilitating this natural transition.
